Frequently Asked Questions
What if I have to cancel my registration?
Due to fees associated with registration and the need to order supplies early, cancellations before May 1, 2025 will be refundable minus basic registration fees. After May 1, 2025, cancellations will be refundable up to 50%. Cancellations within 30 days of the start of camp will be non-refundable.

What should I bring?
Lists of what to bring will be sent out in a pre-camp email to all campers, caddies, and parents and is also listed on the camper information page. This will also be discussed at the mandatory caddie training and parent volunteer meeting.
Do we have to ride the bus? What if our plans change and we decide not to ride one day? What if we miss the bus?
You are welcome to drive your camper to and from camp and there is limited parking there during the day. If you signed up to ride the bus and no longer plan to for ANY part of camp, you must let the bus coordinator know.
Anyone who misses the morning bus must either stay home or are responsible for their own transportation to Camp Elk River that day. Buses in the afternoon do not leave until every camper is accounted for.

This information will be communicated during the volunteer meeting and in the information emails.

What if I or my camper has a food allergy or medical condition or gets sick while at camp?
We require all attendees to submit a health history form prior to attending camp. No one will be allowed at camp without one.
For food and other allergies, an allergy form must be submitted to make camp volunteers aware of the allergy. Please note, we do not guarantee to be an allergy-free camp environment, but do offer allergy friendly foods when an allergy is disclosed (such as gluten free bread, etc.). If you have a very severe allergy, please contact the health coordinator to make arrangements.

We have a volunteer trained in first aid on hand at all times at camp. Should a camper become sick, their emergency contact will be called to pick up to the camper from Camp Elk River.

What if there is bad weather forcasted?
Camp happens rain or shine, it's part of the fun! During situations of inclement weather, Caddies and Volunteers are trained to know where to go and what to do in case of inclement weather. During times of bad weather, please watch your email for communication.
