Campers
Mounds View day camp is a great experience for Girl Scouts! Led by older Girl Scout "Caddies," campers entering 1st-6th grade next fall will enjoy the great experience of day camp at the beautiful Girl Scout Camp Elk River. Campers in grades 4 up will have the opportunity to camp overnight on Thursday evening into Friday morning.
All campers are organized into units by age and troop, but are welcome to list a buddy to be assigned with. Campers swim every day and also participate in archery, canoeing, low ropes, craft, and other great camp activities led by amazing Caddie leaders!

Our camp is 100% volunteer run, we ask everyone to consider spending a day or two to come and help in the units. For each day that an adult volunteers at camp, you receive one day free for one camper or caddie on your registration fee (limit 1/day per family).

Everyone will need to bring a water bottle every day and a bag lunch from home on Monday. We will provide meals that the campers will prepare for lunches on Tues-Friday and pre-packaged snacks to have during the week. Please be sure to communicate any food allergies during your registration so we can make arrangements with you.

Campers should also bring the following items:
-
Swimsuit and towel (swimming is every day!)
-
Wear close-toed shoes good for walking in
-
Bug spray and sunscreen
-
Reusable water bottle
-
Mess kit with plate, bowl, cup, and silverware for desserts and lunches.
-
Hat, cooling towel, and/or spray bottle for hot weather days
-
Rain gear for rainy days
-
We highly discourage the use of cell phones and electronics and recommend they stay at home for safekeeping. We are not responsible for lost or missing items.
-
A packed lunch from home will be required on Monday, snacks and lunches will be provided on Tuesday through Friday. Please carefully note any food allergies on your registration form and get in touch with us to create a plan for severe allergies.
